Well, I've always thought that I was a melee-only player, so my choices were warrior/paladin/melee-something. Even melee-hunter. Though one day I tried to play a mage. I was surprised that I can kinda "feel the magic". So I leveled the mage and had a lot of fun. Now, I started a shaman which I specced Enhancement as a good tree for leveling as they say. Fantabulous! I've been playing my sexy lady troll shammy for 2 years, but only recently went Enhance and while I consider myself pretty decent, I was pretty confused about what stats I needed to beef up. Best, most un-confusing guide I have read about it! Wewt! ^_^

Where is teh Pif? I need your help understanding the sudden push to change our spec to add Reverberation. I'm looking at trying to find the best DPS spec for 5 man Heroics and 10 man raids and don't want to run out of mana. Not sure I can count on a DK or others to support so assume that I have to take care of the totems for the raid. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

To the poster above: although it shows 3/6/9% in the patch notes, this is simply a misprint. The actual skill provides 3/6/9 expertise straight up (not rating or %), which makes it very powerful.

Hi just want to let all of you know that debuff from Bloodlust and Heroism does go away if you die :) , it means if you have more then one shaman in the team , you the shaman may die and use another heroism which only benefit you and give you an impressive DPS, isn't that what the shaman's self resurrection is for ?

I am a noob and I rolled an Tauren enhancement shammy as my second toon after starting off the game with a Dwarf Beast Master Hunter.
I love my hunter to death but I am really liking the combo spell/melee dps of the enhancement shammy spec.
I am very happy to have found this blog and this post is a lifesaver for those like me who are just starting WoW and a shammy.

550 mana / 8 sec CD x 5 sec = 343.75 MP5 (!!!)

That's pretty ridiculous. When I get a chance I'm going to try to do an output/input check on our best-case DPS cycle to see how long it's sustainable.

When I run my shaman Enhancement I noticed myself missing the 5 stack of MW. I ended up having to use Power Auras to make the notification a little more obvious. I was shocked at how often and quickly I got to 5 stacks.
